InactiveHey everyone! 🎨
I’ve recently gotten into modern hand-embroidery and thought I’d share what I’m working on and hear about your favorite niches too.
Here are a few things I’m focusing on:
Exploring minimalist botanical designs (delicate stems, outlines of leaves) on neutral fabric.
Learning shading techniques using subtle color gradients (from light sage minecraft free dark forest green) instead of solid blocks.
Mixing in a text element (short word or quote) for a personalized touch—wondering how much text is too much.
Curious things:
Do you prefer working with natural fabrics (linen, cotton-canvas) over synthetics for embroidery?
How do you choose thread shades so your piece doesn’t feel “busy”?
Anyone experimented with combining embroidery + appliqué? I’d love to know what worked for you.
Would love to see your recent “works-in-progress” too — maybe share a photo or two and what inspired you!
